<p><strong>Who we are looking for</strong></p>
<p>You are a young professional who will assist the investment analysts of the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region in the analysis and monitoring of credit risk and country risk for institutions located in the region.</p>
<p>The position is based in Cape Town (South Africa) with reporting line to the Regional Manager SSA. We offer a young and dynamic work environment in a growing industry and an opportunity to work in the social investment space with a for-profit company.</p>

About the Job

<p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p>
<ul style="list-style-type: square;">
<li>Analyze and validate in a timely and quality manner monthly reports for investees in the portfolio and publish follow-up reports when necessary.</li>
<li>Support the production of the Desk Reviews by the Investment Analysts through collecting and recording any necessary information or/and reviewing the coherence and completeness of the information.</li>
<li>Support the production of credit risk and ESG reports by Investment Analysts.</li>
<li>Support Investment Analysts in the production of country analysis reports.</li>
<li>Input audited financial statements and liability information report for all investees in the region.</li>
<li>Assist in coordinating and managing of investee relationships with the Investment Analysts.</li>
<li>Support the Investment Analysts in the filtering and prospection of new investment targets including financial intermediaries, Fintech&rsquo;s and clean energy in the prospective markets.</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining all institutional accounts and KYC/AML processes for Sub Saharan institution up to date.</li>
<li>Collect and maintain all data required for the opening and the clearing of MFI Account and KYC process for institutions of the region.</li>
<li>Maintain regular contacts with investees in portfolio.</li>
</ul>

Your Qualification

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<p>We are looking for a dynamic person who is organized, mature, autonomous, and able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.</p>
<p>More specifically, you have the following skills and competencies:</p>
<ul style="list-style-type: square;">
<li>You possess a university degree in accounting or finance,</li>
<li>You have a strong interest in impact investments and knowledge of the financial sector in sub-Sahara Africa,</li>
<li>You are capable of handling on-going multiple tasks on a daily basis,</li>
<li>You have excellent communication and organizational skills,</li>
<li>You are proactive, inquisitive and interested in learning,</li>
<li>You have a very good capacity to understand, adapt and dedicate to support clients&rsquo; needs,</li>
<li>You are fluent in written and spoken English, a good command in French and/or Portuguese would be an advantage,</li>
<li><u>Permanent Resident status or eligible to work in South Africa </u></li>
